The London EDITION's award-winning bar, Punch Room, will launch a newly curated punch menu, ‘The Five’, on Tuesday 11th April.

Created by bar manager, Davide Segat, formerly of The Connaught, Green & Red, Hawksmoor and Bulgari Hotel, the menu draws on each of the five distinct ingredients traditionally used to create punch: Spirit, Water and Tea, Citrus, Sugar and Spice to navigate his guide to this illustrious cocktail.

The beautifully bound menu opens with a witty foreword from Jake Burger of Portobello Road Gin and The Ginstitute, goes on to give a humourous pitted history of punch from its 17th Century Indian Ocean origins to now.

Each of the five sections comprises drinks that are more prominent in their category, along with an added “curious and curiouser” section for those feeling experimental.

The newly crafted menu features 30 new punches, along with a daily changing punch, and classic favourite EDITION house punch which is available all year round.

“This menu is a collection of our favourite Punches from the last three years as well as our take on Punches through the ages” says Davide Segat.

Inspired by the grand traditions of Great Britain: the traditional, aristocratic English country manor and the quintessential London private gentleman’s club with a modern, edgy, urban feel, Punch Room places heavy emphasis on the social aspect of sharing and discussion. Punch bowls are available for 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 people and cost £14 per person.
